Oto Efekt (aka Phoene Somsavath) is a 25 year old musician based in Paris who discovers music thanks to Jim Morrison and Kurt Cobain. Since then is born a passion for rock stars whose life expectancy does not exceed 27 years.

It is partly the reason why she learns how to play the guitar at the age of 13. Today she plays lots of instruments although not being informed of any musical theory (what is D7?), she spends her time on eBay finding absurd, odd instruments. Last acquisitions : a concertina, and a harmonium.

She then gives up Rock'n'Roll and her sponge-bracelets for Post-Rock and Electronica. "Come On Die Young" of Mogwai is a revelation at the time where she wanders in the corridors of the Uni.
